I am running SEPM on Server 2003  SP2. I am trying to use a SQL 2008 database on the system.  I have created the sem5 database after having connection issues, but now when I do the setup, I get the error  "Failed to add server """"""

The database is SQL 2008 R2, had similar issues with SQL 2005

What SEP version are you using? Are you running SQL remote? Are you running replication? Please give as much detail of your environment as possible.

BTW, this is the wrong forum, I will move this thread over to the Endpoint Protection forum for you.

Are you able to login to SQL server by using the SQL client which is present in SEPM? Is it a fresh installtion?
