  • 1.  SEPM Failed to Connect to the Server

    Hi,

I have inherited a network with a lot of issues, the last Admin left in a hurry.......

I have SEPM installed on a server in a remote site and I can't get logged into the managment console on it.  I'm getting an error message

Failed to connect to the server.
Make sure that the server is running and your session has not timed out.
If you can reach the server but cannot log on, make sure that you have provided the correct paramaters.
If you are experiencing network issues, contact your system administrator.

I'm trying to connect to the manager from the local server, I cant connect to the console from a web page either http://localhost:8014/ I'm getting the web page cannot be found.

I don't believe that IIS has been configured properly as the anonumous acces account was not using the IUsr_ account.

I have never used the SEPM before, do I need to reinstall the product again or can I get it to recreate the website first?

    Thanks.

Thanks for that, I'll have to raise a change for tomorrow night and do it then.

I'll get back to you with the results.

    Thanks.
