    Ok,

Done a search on the forums but nothing seemed to fit the below.

I run a network of around 30 servers that I have just upgraded to SEP 11. As the network is isolated - no internet connectivity.

I installed a LiveUpdate Server with LiveUp[date 2.2.1 - This works fine, Updates in the morning from the internet, gets disconnected and placed back on our isolated network.

Also Installed a SEPM Server to manage all the servers and clients. Mostly all fine here.

I have tested this in a Development scenario and twice in production. Everything works a dream, clients update, scans run. We are really happy with the results.

The only problem we have is the SEP Management server itself running LiveUpdate. SEP is installed on this with just the Antivirus and AntiSpyware protection. When it comes to run LiveUpdate, it sits there with the:

    Initializing...
    Connecting to AVUpdate01

and will sit there for 5 minutes. No increase in network traffic, LUCOMS and LUCallback running in Task Manager. It will finally connect to the server and download relevent updates.

As I said, every other system connects and updates as expected.

I have a shot of policy ect attached.

    Thanks In Advance...

Any communication problems in general from the SEPM server to the AVupdate server? Ping response times, dns resolution, etc all check out? If you try the IP address instead of the dns name in the LU servers list, does it work any faster?

No communication problems whatsoever. Static ip's make no difference. Once connection is made, all updates are coped at the expected speed.
