    Hi,

I had a hard failure on one of the machine that was the SEPM, to manage the problem i installed the console in another machine also i got the backup and the Server Private Key.
The problem i got now is after i install the SEPM on the machine i restored the database and after restore the database the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager service don't start anymore, when i click to start the service the service start alright but after while the service go down.
I read some KB may be i'm doing wrong, should i first restore the database and then go in the console and import the Keystore?

    Thanks

Make sure that you are reinstall the manager on same iis Port. By default is port 8014.. Then restore the database first then login to the SEPM and restore the keystore.

After restoring the database you need to run the Management Server Configuration Wizard so that SEPM accepts the Database.

Yes the same version, and after i ran the management server Configuration Wizard show other error "Could not create the Java virtual Machine"
Just one question for me it's easy to do again my environment is small with 40 clients. Do you know if i can install the SEP and after just import the communication settings on the clients "will that work". What i don't want is to install the sep clients again on the machines for me to install the manager is quick i got backup of all the policy.

    Thanks

Install SEP Manager then import all the policies.
Use sylinreplacer to replace sylink.xml  on the clients so that they connect back to sepm
