  • 1.  SEP/SAV does not catch Spyware (AV 360)

There have been multiple instances where SEP/SAV does not pickup this Spyware. Its the one where your browsing the internet and you get a popup or a website telling you that your computer is infected with multiple viruses and then they try and convince you to by their anti-virus solution to remove them. There are multiple free Anti-virus solutions such as AVG and Malware Bytes that block this spyware but Symantec products seem to miss it. Any plug-ins, updates or fixes for this problem?

    Thanks
    James

    http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2009-040811-0808-99&tabid=2

I myself would have submitted atleast 20 varinats of this malware.
With same name and same location.

However from my expreince I remember there is DLL that loads in
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Network

that actually does the download and even hijacks your browser///so if you can submit these files you will add one variant of this threat and make your network secure from one more variant of AV360
