  • 1.  Service Desk 7 SQL Install error

    I am trying to Install Service Desk 7. I am getting an error MSSQL Server 2005 SP1 or higher not detected. I have SQL off box in my environment. Any help is much appreciated.

    What you should get is a WARNING and not an error. It should let you through the requirement screen and later on ask for the SQL server connection settings.

    This is just a warning; you can proceed and specify the SQL server on a following screen.  Do make sure you have your off-box SQL pre-reqs in place, namely SQL Server ADOMD.NET, SQL Management Objects, and SQL Native Client installed on your SD7 server.  You'll also need IIS 6 and .NET 3.5 w/ ASP.NET.

    It will not let me go past the system check at all.  I belive I have all the pre reqs installed.
