So, what your 'Sharepoint plugin' means?

If you want to protect the Sharepoint site from the virus and security risk, just install the SEP client on the Sharepoint server.

    Hi Chris,

I am not familiar with the plug-in that you are referring to... can you provide a little more info on what it is and does-?

Symantec has a product for defending SharePoint, but it is not SEP.   It is called Symantec Protection 5.1 for SharePoint Servers, and more info can be found at http://www.symantec.com/business/protection-for-sharepoint-servers

The following article may be of assistance for SEP admins with SharePoint:

Exclusions required to run Symantec Endpoint Protection with Microsoft SharePoint

Please keep the forum up-to-date with your progress!

    Thanks and best regards,

    Mick
