  • 1.  Showing Servicedesk reports on intranet page

    Posted Mar 12, 2014 06:03 AM

Am wondering how one can call servicedesk reports for use in an intranet web site? I have tried a number of methods but can't get just the repoort on its own.

As this is a pretty common requirement I am hoping someone will have done this and can provide a simple answer!

    Thanks in advance

It really depends on what you want to do.

Quick and dirty way would be to get the URL of the report being shown in PM, and just stick it in an IFRAME.

However, if you have the connection string to the ProcessManager DB, there's nothing stopping you from writing custom SQL against the database, and then building your own custom webpart.

    HI

    Thanks for this..

I did get the URL of the report but it includes the PM menu interface which is not entirely what is wanted. I was just looking for the call to the report without the rest of the stuff...

I did wonder if publising the report as a web service might be a solution - but am not 100% sure about this functionality and what it does and offers.
