  • 1.  SIM only offers to create package?

    OK, so wanting to install a test copy of WF7.1 on a new server but when i run the SIM ( after it installed and updated itsself ) i don't get any option to actually install any solutions. It only offers to create a package ( which it does do if i go thru the motions ).

    Its a 64bit 2008 server ( NOT R2 due to disscussions earlier of it not being supported ).

    Did not have this problem when things were in beta... Am i missing something really obvious here?

    Sim must be installed on 2008 R2, else you only get the install package option. This is for WF/NS/SMP 7.1.

    *sigh*  After the discussion i had during beta they said R2 was *not* going to be supported.. so now its *only* supported...

    Blah.. another reload..

    EDIT: Shoot shoot shoot.. SP1 on R2 isn't supported, and was the discussion i had during the beta stage..  i guess I'm not awake yet.
