Single sign-on is not working in PGP Desktop 10.2.0 MP3 (Build 2317). After encrypting the hard drive, I confirmed that PGPpwflt was at the top of the Network Providers list, as well as other solutions listed in other forum threads related to this issue.  According to this thread (http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/pgp-single-sign), PGP is aware of the issue and will address it in a future update of the client. Is there an ETA for this release and can someone confirm this issue is addressed?

I appreciate any and all feedback regarding this issue.

    Thanks.

whats the issue ? password did not refreshed after change?

make sure policy update is working in client side.

Also, make sure WDE users is DOMAIN\username. If not, change that.

MP5 was released today. Please try latest version and inform the results.

It should be ready to download from fileconnect.symantec.com. If not , call customer care to fix that

Sorry, not sure how I forgot to put in the symptoms but yes, PGP doesn't recognize the new password after the users change it in Windows. As far as downloading an updated client, it was my understanding that client updates were managed through the PGP Universal Server. Is that no longer true?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

First make sure WDE users is DOMAIN\username.

Also confrim, have you recently upgraded a whole disk encrypted PGP Desktop standalone computer to a PGP Universal Server managed environment.

    then please check this article.

Unable to use Single Sign-On feature after upgrading PGP Desktop:

    #1 - Yes.

#2 - No. We have always used WDE in a managed environment.

#3 - Thank you for the link to the tech note dated January 2012. I believe I read somewhere else that an updated client was in the works. My question from above is WHEN will the new client be available. The workaround provided by Symantec in the tech note you referenced is impractical for our medium-sized business.

    Thanks for your feedback.

How are you updating the password on your windows 7 clients. The only method that works with this is doing a ctrl+alt+del and changing password on the local machine. Any other method will not update the bootguard.

Here is a kb article on troubleshooting SSO. Check to make sure none of these are affecting the SSO feature.

There where some changes related to SSO password update with windows 7 clients in version PGP Desktop 10.2mp5 for the client. I'm attaching the release notes for this version it is available through https://fileconnect.symantec.com

The Universal Server does handle all the client updates you would want to update the server, or you can download just the client file and manually install. You do not need to uninstall the client version prior to running the new install.
