  • 1.  Single-tier or Two-tier for 2400 agent licenses?

    Can a single tier Installation support 2400 agents to connect. If yes then what are the system requirements (RAM and all). If no then what are the system requirements for two-tier installation.

    Single Tier is not recommended for over 1000.

    If you were going to try - the specs would have to be quite high - 8 Core, 3TB and 64GB RAM.

    I would not recommend Single Tier over 1000.

    As suggested above, the spec would be on the higher side.

    Hi  Aishwarya,

     

    In first time: I no recomend Single Tier (only for Demos, POCs, ...) In your case Two Tier.

    For 2400 agents, it is considered "Small/Medium Enterprise" (up to 10.000). The HW reqirements that you need for this installation are:

    Required for Enforce Server Network Monitor Other Detection Servers
    Processor 2 x 3.0 GHz CPU 2 x 3.0 GHz CPU 2 x 3.0 GHz CPU
    Memory 6–8 GB RAM (EDM/IDM size
    can increase memory
    requirements)
    Two-tier deployments may
    require additional memory for
    running Oracle.    		 6–8 GB RAM (EDM/IDM size
    can increase memory
    requirements. See the
    Symantec Data Loss
    Prevention Administration
    Guide for information about
    EDM and IDM sizing.)    		 6–8 GB RAM (EDM/IDM size
    can increase memory

    Disk 500 GB, RAID 1+0 or RAID 140 GB
    5 configuration is
