  • 1.  Slow shutdown of W2K afer using Ghost 8.2.0.1117

    I have some brand new Dell PC's that startup and shutdown fine until I load a "remote client" from my Ghost console. After that the PC is slow to shutdown and has trouble loading a USB Smart Label printer.

    I tried uninstalling the Ghost client, but the problem would not go away...

    Anybody have any thoughts?

    Hi Paul,

    What model(s) of your new Dell PCs, are they desktops or laptops? And what NIC cards?

    Have the brand new machines already installed some applications? If so, what are they?

    Ghost was not the problem causing the slow shut down of Windows 2000. After reformatting a computer and testing the effects of individual applications and drivers as they were installed I discovered that Ghost was not the culprit, rather a custom application we use to access an OCR/document data base.
