  • 1.  SMP 7.1 - Agent Based Inventory not running?

    Hello,

             We are in evaluation with SMP 7.1 and the full Altiris suite of products. I have deployed the Management Agent and Inventory Plugin as well as scheduled the Full Inventory to take place daily. However, I have only 9 PC's that actually have been inventoried out of approximately 850.  So I know the job is running but I'm not sure why more machines aren't showing up.  I've included a screenshot.

    Is it licensing?  If you're in an evaluation, you likely have a trial license, which normally includes 10 licenses.  You could be out of licenses.  Have you checked Symantec Installation Manager on the Notification Server to see how many licenses are available for Inventory Solution?  Basic inventory doesn't require a license, so this would fit with the licensing theory.

    If you need a larger amount of trial licenses, you should contact your sales rep.
