    Hi Everyone,

Please kindly advise on some Host Integrity Policy setting:

    av.jpeg

If I put antivirus application that must be installed and running on SEP, will it be affected to my clients that running on the SAV10/SAV9?

The download URL, can I put in UNC?

However what kind of the command use (%F%)? Any sample?

Please kindly advise because I am new in the SNAC.

    Rgds.

1.This will not apply on SAV.
    2. SNAC supports UNC, HTTP and FTP for this
3.eg : Type \\10.10.10.10\Remediation\XYZ.EXE in the Download URL
    field.
“%F%” is variable to reference the file downloaded /quiet /forcerestart can also be used

    Hi,

I got other question about the SEP11. Recently, 1 of my server is getting the virus definition till 15 January 2010 and after the Symantec Support Engineer checks. They said the LU was corrupted and need to reinstall. May I know what is the reason only this server has the problem but other no problems.

There was issue with liveupdate recently..so if your SEPM server has version older than 11.0.5002.333 then the possibility of tmp files getting created randomly and virus definitions getting corrupted is high..

There is no one reason for virus definitions getting corrupted.

Is it? Do you mind to share this with me like the website or anywhere that I can get this information? Now in my compnay, my SEPM is in MR4 MP2.

Yes my server is MR4MP2 but my client pc(server) is in MR4MP2. I have configured that my client pc will get the virus definition directly from the server, so could it be because the TMP file issue.

This might or might not be the tmp file issue however it might be related to the other issue where definitions got stuck at 31-12-2009.So once the new defs were downloaded the the defs might have got corrupted.
Since it is fixed now it is hard to say what was the actual cause but these issues might have been the cause.

Because my client pc (server) now the virus definiton is 15 January 2010 and even i send update content. It is successful but the date is remain the same.
Another my worry, why only this client pc(server) has the problem but the other normal user and client(server) are getting the virus definition without any problems

Must be issue with the client itself not communicating with sepm or something..try re-installing the client.

I am thinking that too but my boss wants to know what is the root cause and how to prevent it. For my knowledge learning purpose too, I need to know and so that I can solve this issue next time without any problems.
