  • 1.  So what OS set is actually needed?

I'm trying to install and implement a new service desk on server 2012 r2 using 8.1 SD and a 2014 SQL server. Unlike provious versions the diagnostics don't seem to do the readiness checks they used to while the docuemtnation is not clear as to exactly what is required in temrs of OS/IIS/<net configuraiton. The server is setup as a web server but not all the features are enabled. For security reasons we can only enable what is actually required. I keep hitting problems with the install which I am having to then guess and test a fix. I worked out for example I needed to install static contentweb  feature on the server. I am still getting issues.

Can anyone ladvise as to what exactly is required at OS /IIS/.net level in terms of config so I can get this installed without constantly coming up with problems.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Hannah,

Check the Implementation Guide below...it should outline all you need.
