Deployment Solution

This is for Windows 10 LTSB.

We installed Windows 10 LTSB and I am not sure if it's actually Windows 10 LTSB or if an update broke the package, but it appears we can't install this plugin.  

The agent gets the install and it downloads it just fine, but it appears that after it tries to install...it doesn't show up and it appears it's not installed.

These are the plugins that are installed even after doing the install/upgrade to see about getting it to work.

Find the plug-in installer in C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\SoftwareManagement\Software Delivery\{80862EA5-B80E-422F-A9C1-2B5BD00E8473}\cache and run it manually and see if you get a useful message. I've found this can work where even a verbose windows installer log message is a bit cryptic.

Thanks for the reply.  I did this as well as a test to see if I could manually install it.  When I ran it manually, no errors popped up.  It looked like it was installing and then the .msi just disappeared.  I opened up cmd as administrator and ran it from there as well and I still didn't get any errors.  Should I try something different?

1) Have you tried this manually from opened cmd via "Run As Administrator"

msiexec.exe /i "C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\SoftwareManagement\Software Delivery\{80862EA5-B80E-422F-A9C1-2B5BD00E8473}\cache\SoftwareManagementSolution_Plugin_x64.msi" /L*V "C:\PluginInstall.log"

Does "C:\PluginInstall.log" has something useful to understand why Software Management Solution Agent doesn't appear as installed/registered in SMA plug-ins list?

2) Does Microsoft "NT Events", 'Application', 'System" logs have something useful?

3) Check registry to see whether SWM plug-in installed or not so it's just a problem with dll registration in OS
