  • 1.  some clients not showing green dot

    hi, my case number 320-208-186...

    I have recently uninstalled my SEPM MR4 Trial to MR4 MP2 licensed version after running the trial with no issue (am I lucky or what?)... however, problems started with licensed version...

    the installation of SEPM wasn't smooth but at least I got it to work after uninstalling/reinstalling for a couple of times... with cleanwipe, etc.... I got my first 2 machines to work but those which were installed after that, the green dots are missing...

    the green dots appeared after installation and first reboot... then the updates were done and due to the application control policy update, I rebooted the machines again and the green dot appeared after reboot... leaving the machine to idle for a few mins, the green dot disappeared, it changed to the red one (like no entry sign) and then it is totally gone, leaving just the shield...

    any other suggestions? thanks

    Is any other client communicating to the SEPM?

    if yes then can you download the sylink toggle tool from the download tab & run it on one of the client machine for arounf 5 mins it will create the sylink logs in the c drive. Can you add that sylink log to this thread.

    On one machine remove earlier version what ever you had installed
    install a new package and check if green dot  is stable

    if not check your IIS logs.Please check if you have any 403 error or 404 from the clients
    if this fails take a sylink log as mentioned by kavishbakshi and post it here

    do you use proxy ? say like ISA?

    Can u please confirm whats is the Server and the group showing in the client machine? Check here Start--All Progarms--SEP--help&Support--Troubleshooting

    Check the Communication interval and check also the bandwith alloted on that network I think you have huge traffic for SEP client to  communicate to SEPM server

    refresh the updtade policy, and gives another try of sylink tool to cennonect..
