  • 1.  Some remnants of PGP remain on my system after uninstall

    Posted May 25, 2018 10:30 AM

    Hi All,

I have uninstalled Symantec PGP from a laptop but when i try to enctpy with the new software my client has opted for i get a message saying that PGP is still installed on the system.

Please could you advise if there are any uninstalled tools for this software, or if anyone has seen this before and certain folders/files need to be removed.

    Thanks in advance,

    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

No tool available. There is a link below on how to completely remove PGP:

    https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.HOWTO59076.html

The only other option is a manual removal of all entries from the registry and disk (files and folders) which I would only recommend if you know what you're doing and are comfortable with it.

    Thanks!
