    I apologize should this not be the proper place to post a question.

    I'm using the Symantec Endpoint protection provided by my university. Everything went fine and so far I'm quite happy with it. Except since a few days I keep getting thousands of notifications that something keeps creating new .tmp files, which apparently classify as a virus. 

    I tried everything Symantec has to offer, as well as countless other scans, but I can't seem to get rid of it. They keep filling up my Quarantine folder (Empty option is set to 50MB, somehow not working), so I'll eventually run out of disk space.

    Is anyone familiar with this problem and might have an idea how to fix it? Attached is a screenshot of the notifications.
