Endpoint Protection

We faced to SONAR Component malfunctioning on our agents recently and the number of problamatics systems are growing day by day. Also most of them have Tamper protection malfunctioned too.

Did you go with the "solution" provided by SymHelp? I believe it may be a manual fix. Or you could try pushing out the intelligent updater to affected clients. It should have a silent switch on it.

Could you try downloading and installing the by downloading the Intelligent updater for AV, Sonar and IPS Signatures from the link below:

but there are lots of systems and we need a solution to fix them from our console management because fixing around 70 systems onsite or remotely is impossible.

Is there any way to prevent other agents from malfunctiong? because every day we have some new systems with SONAR malfunctioned status.

You need to understand why it's happening in the first place. May need to get a support case open so someone can remote in and review.

Hello everyone,
I'm having this same problem and I do not know what the solution would be, I tried the following tests:

-Substitute the Sylink file
-Uninstall the client and install again via SEPPREP
- Deleted BASH vaccines manually
-Move to a group with SONAR and TAMPER off and re-enable
-Enable External Liveupdate

What worries me is the increasing number of random desktops.
I will be following a possible solution.

I had multiple clients reporting diffferent client malfunctions and reached out to Symantec.  They provided guidance to create and push a client package that removed and reinstalled the SEP client.

The issue I still have after pushing and fixing my original problem children is more keep popping up on a daily basis.

Just opened another case asking why and what they're doing about it.  I don't recall having this problem in earlier versions.
