I adviced my friend to follow these instructions to remove Trovi from his computer. I saw the Norton Logo and ©1995 - 2014 Symantec Corporation on the website and trusted this. However Step one had him purchase a product. Is this truely a Symantec supported product? Here is the link I gave him.

Symantec does NOT own Spyhunter. This is just an Ad on this site. Nothing to do with Spyhunter. Spyhunter is owned by Enigma. There is no purchase but only a download of a file that came up.

    Hi FredTest1234,

Potentially Unwanted Applications often hijack homepages so that search pages like Trovi are displayed instead of what the user has configured. Be sure to change the launch command of browser shortcuts, in addition to all the usual removal steps, in order to restore the desired defaults.  For more information, check out the computers cleaned during this Mark Russinovich demo:  http://channel9.msdn.com/events/TechEd/Europe/2014/CDP-B373

Please do keep this thread up to date with your progress! &: )
