    Hi,

    I have a question regarding user access to the quarantine message queue.  I have LDAP settings correct and I'm wondering is it possible to configure Brightmail to authenticate via Smart Card.

    Our network requires "Smart Card for Interactive Login" so most of the users do not know their "user name" and "password"  Is there any way to allow users to access the quarantine message queue using their smart cards and NOT their user name/password.

    Any help on this matter would be MOST appreciated.

    V/R,

    Stephen P.

    Hi Stephen,

    If you've enable the quarantine digest notifications to be sent, if customers click the view or release links from within the notifications the users receive, they are automatically authenticated into the quarantine and they don't need to supply their username and password, maybe that's the way the handle this in your environment...

    Hi,

    Can we configure the settings to allow only specific users to access to quarantine digest? also specific users for the notifications?

    tnx

    Hi Jun,

    Quarantine is really only off or on for all users, however keep in mind that quarantine notifications only get sent if there are new messages that have gone into quarantine for users.  So if you have multiple group policies for different users than one group you could quarantine spam and these users would get notifications if the administrator only quarantine was turned off.  For the other set of users you could delete spam or not use the quarantine action and then they wouldn't get quarantined and hence no notifications would be sent.

    Hi Kevin,

    I'm thinking of adding one more local domain to my 8380 but I'm afraid that the client in that new domain might not be able to recieve any quarantine notifications as my LDAP Authentication is only sync to my old domain. Will there be anyway to allow my clients in the new domain to recieve the notifications as well?

    regards;
