    Dear SBG Customers,

     

    As we continue our implementation of IPv6 support in the Symantec Brightmail Gateway product line, we'd like to hear your thoughts on what's important, how you plan on rolling out IPv6 in your environment, and your views on migrating from an IPv4 world to an IPv6 world.  If you are an active Brightmail Gateway customer and are interested in participating in a web-based customer roundtable, please drop me a direct message and I'll make sure you get an invitation to our upcoming forum.

    The discussion will occur on April, 26, 2011 from 9:00 AM PST thru 10:00 AM PST. Our goals are to understand your strategy and timeline for rolling out IPv6 in your networks and to identify where you would find IPV6 integration most critical within the SMG product. If you are a Symantec Messaging Gateway (formerly Brightmail Gateway) customer and wish to attend the conversation, pleae send an email to bill_bowles@symantec.com.We look forward to hearing from you.

     Topics of Conversation will include:

    • What percentage of your internal network is running IPv6 traffic Today?
    • What percentage of your applications/services are running on an IPv6 network?  
    • Are you accepting IPv6 traffic from outside your network?
    • How long do you expect to run in a dual stack configuration?
      • What communications need to support IPv6 first, and which services can continue supporting IPv4 for some time?
    • What are your views on Reputation Filtering and Connection Management over IPv6 networks?
    • Other topics to be determined by the group.

    Yes I want to know more this IPv6. How to use it and how it can be useful in our workplace? Give us some data or details regarding on this topic. Thanks for the information.

    I would be very interested in the results of the discussion that was supposed to occur on April, 26, 2011. I had requested more information on this topic from my Symantec reps about one week before. They never mentioned this round table.

     

    We have two 8380 devices and would like to know when IPv6 support is coming to this platform.
