when i select the customized installation, it does not show Symantec Client Firewall below Symantec Antivirus....
Is there any way to configure system centre to install symantec client firewall alongwith Symantec Antivirus...????

The easiest way is to simply take the installation files for SCS from the SCS CD and copy them to your primary servers client install point, from ClientRemote you can then choose which source you want to use. (You may even already have a folder called Win32SCS present)

Also, if you install SAV Server from the SCS CD (its on there too) then it copies Client Security into the default deployment folder instead of just SAV.

If you do it the first way, just make sure you copy the pki folder from the SAV distribution point and you should be good to go.

Also, if you are still running 10.1.0.394 then I'd recommend upgrading if you can (even if its just getting the patch for SYM06-010)... its now quite an old version and there are several well documented security vulnerabilities with it.

Hi, you can install Client Firewall from Symantec System Center, when you use NT Client Install tool, you can swicth the Installation Files Location to the folder SCS, but you most copy the grc.dat file and PKI folder to SCS folder, if you not copy the GRC.DAT file and PKI folder the machine will not be a client managed for the Antivirus Server.

If you install the Antivirus Server from Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition CD, only will be aviable the antivirus client files for instal, but if you install the antivirus server using  the Symantec Client Security CD the installation files for Firewall will be aviable.
