Endpoint Encryption

    Hi all,

    Currently, we are looking for Full Disk Encryption tool to use with laptop around 150 machines. could you help recommend ?

    Should we use Symantec Desktop Encryption or Symantec Endpoint Encryption.

    Desktop encryption appears to be on a per-PC basis where Endpoint Encryption should give you central management.

    The Symantec recommendation for pure disk encryption, is to go with Symantec Endpoint Encryption.  This tends to come out with the updates the faster, and appears to get more of the development time.  Plus it also includes the Removeable Media Encyption bits too.

    Typically, we'd only recommend someone go for Symantec Encryption Desktop, when they expect to require its mail/file-share encryption capabilities as well.
