  • 1.  Symantec DLP Solution.exe issue

    We are trying to install the Symantec DLP Solution.wsp so that we can scan Sharepoint sites for content.  During the install of the client on a Sharepoint 2007 web front end there is an error message stating "Please retract and remove the solution versioni 3.7.150 and relaunch the setup." 

    This is the first time this was installed and I am wondering of others have had a similar issue.

    If you want to scan SharePoint site, you don't need to install the DLP solution, just install the SharePoint Scanner on your site.

    I am being told by the sales engineer that in order to scan an entire farm that I will need to install the web services on the web front end of the farm.  The installation is failing and the error states it is already installed, which it is not.
