  • 1.  Symantec Encryption Server Upgrade 3.3.1-> 3.3.2 Nightmare

    Hey guys,

    We did a Symantec Encryption Server Upgrade from 3.3.1 to 3.3.2, now after the server shuts down the server didin't reboot, and it only shows long beeps and a red blinking health led. The server is HP Proliant DL360 G5. I just wanna ask if someone else also experience this even if it's a different server model or brand.

    My goal is to know if this is just a hardware issue from the physical server or this is because of the package upgrade that we did on the Symantec Encryption Server.

    Thank you,

    I have not heard of an upgrade causing a server to become unbootable.  In cases where something does go wrong with the upgrade, it should still try to boot and give you some failure messages on the screen if nothing else.  I would lean towards a hardware issue, particularly if it will not try to boot at all, and there is a blinking LED.

    One of the HP engineers check the server and seems like we're having memory issues, 2 of the dimms were replaced.
