    Hi All,

I had upgraded Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 12.1.6 MP4.  The server has upgraded successfully but the problem is when I tried to upgrade client from SEPM console its not upgrade and shows error.  In most of the PCs OS is Windows 7, 8.1 and 10.  I checked in PCs Remote Registry services is ON and Firewall is OFF.  Is there any other settings which is require to check?  Please help me to solve this problem as I have 300+PCs and I want to upgrade in all PCs

Does the client require a reboot? Have you tried running the package locally on the machine to see if it throws any errors?

    Hi Brian,

    Thanks for swift response.

No client has not rebooted actucally when I tried to push from SEPM its shows error in SEPM console only.  I had tried to install package locally its upgraded without any error.  I am not sure but something is wrong from PC end may be some services or something

Have you followed all the steps to prepare the client?

Preparing Windows and Mac computers for remote deployment

Is there a SEP_INST.log or SIS_INST.log file on the client in the %temp% directory?

Another course of action would be to run the SymDiag tool on one of the affected machines to see if it is configured correctly for remote deployment and do additional configuration checking:

Download SymDiag to detect Symantec product issues

I had run this tool and its shows error TCP port 139 and TCP port 445 is blcoked in Microsoft Firewall but the question is Firewall is OFF then its should not require to open any port.  Please correct me if I am wrong

Is the firewall off for the domain profile? Something appears to be blocking those ports.

Firewall is OFF for all the profiles (Domain, Private & Public).  However I have allow both the ports in Firewall but still its shows same error
