I have installed SEPM version 14.x

Client mainly: 14.X.

Some client : 12.X

But Symantec Endpoint clients 12.x will not update automatic virus definitions.

If i open symantec endpoint on client and choice live update--> Client will update virus definitions.

Please help me!

After following the steps in the guide:

1. Navigate to Admin>Servers.
2. Right-click the Local Site and choose "Edit Site Properties"
3. Select the "LiveUpdate" tab.
4. Under the "Content to Download for Client Types" section, click the "Change Selection..." tab.
5. Check all unchecked boxes (Legacy embedded clients(legacy reduced-size content) and Legacy standard clients(legacy standard-size content)).
6. Click "OK" for both screens to confirm the changr

Now in folder: content have ({535CB6A4-441F-4e8a-A897-804CD859100E}), 

But client still not update automatic virus definitions.

can you enable sylink log from client and attach here?

I cannot enable sylink log, regedit error creating valuve

Now I have another problem (urgent)

My company have about 60 symantec client and 1 server SEPM.

We use outlook to send and receive mail.

Some excel files attached in outlook, can not be opened with the error as below:

"The file you are trying to open, 'Khoan thang 3.xls', is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?"

If I stop the symantec, we can open it normally ( smc -stop)

We using outlook 2007 and windows 7.

Please help me!

To edit the registry, disable tamper protection and try again.

Is the file on a network share?
