File Share Encryption

Dear All

I am new user of the symantec endpoint encryption 11.1.

I want to encrypt the notebook harddisk (Just like bitlocker, need password before access windows only) where can I have the step by step guide? (Just encryption HDD only. ) I have some notebook in domain and some are not. Can I encrypt them both?

Sounds like you're going to install standalone drive encryption. Don't be alarmed but Endpoint Encryption is the wrong product. The correct product is available to you through the same purchase, so it's no big deal. You'll want to download "Symatnec Encryption Destkop" which may be listed as "Standalone Drive Encryption" at your download location.

When you go to activate your software, the DU license key will activate it. It's normally in your order confirmation email just below the D4 license key.
