    Hi,

I have SEPM installed and working fine on a Windows 7 machine.

We have a very small company - with no more than 250 machines to manage, so I have set it up with an embedded database.

I'm concerned about this "requirement" for virtualizing - https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH132456.html

    Specifically this -

    •
    • The SQL database should not reside in the same ESX cluster for better I/O handling

Does this indicate that I can't have an embedded databse anymore?   We would definately need to have the installation all on one VM.

    Thank you,

    Vicki

Yes you absolutely can. As long as you meet the hardware specs (an then some) you will be fine running it that way. I've never had an issue with it in the past.

that is pointed out just for the guys who use SQL database and in your case you can simply ignore it. Also if by any change you hare planning to have a LUA do not install it on the same host/Esx machine. otherwise you are fine to with this setup.
