First off, i didnt join an existing discussion because by product is not Endpoint Protection (AntiVirus), nor Endpoint Protection Small Business. It is Symantec Endpoint Protection v11.
Next, the reason i'm here: Does this software actually work ????
I have it installed, with the icon showing in the system tray, the services are listed in process manager, updates happen, and all appears to be in order.
BUT: when i receive emails with viruses i dont get any warning or notifications.
I just received, again, the "your parcel from DHL cannot be delivered" with an attachment (no message from SEP)
I saved the zipped attachment onto my desktop (no message from SEP)
I extracted the file to my desktop (no message from SEP)
I even did a rightclick-Scan for viruses (still no warning from SEP)
I didnt run the exe file, as i already know its the Bredolab/Zbot trojan.
So at what point is SEP supposed to remove this file and/or warn me about it. (you see why i question whether its working or not)
