Endpoint Protection

Hi All,

We currently have a client who we will soon be migrating to WS 2008.

They currently run Symantec Endpoint Protection Corporate version 10.0.1.1000.

Is this compatible with server 2008 or will they need a patch/upgrade?

Symantec Endpoint protection (11.0. ) & Symantec corporate version 10.0 are two different version & different software.. 

I can tell you that Symantec Endpoint protection 11.0 is compatable with Win 2008.

Hello Any version of SEP after 11.0.4XXXX is compatible with 2008, make sure that you have the latest version of SEP for better performance..Have a good day @ 

Yes WS 2008 is compatible with SEPM server, if you are quite confuse please try it first on the test environment just for sure.

The title i used to renew the support last year was "SYMC MULTI-TIER PROTECTION 11.0 ESSENTIAL- 12 MONTHS EXPRESS BAND B".

Am I correct in thinking the customer has endpoint protection or this otehr multi-tier protection product? or are they the same thing?

The license that you are using is a bundle of products..
Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.xxxx
Mail Security for lotus,Exchange and SMTP.

Since you have this license you use the serial number to download the latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection as it is fully compatible with Windows 2008
