    i have no idea what is problem not live update

    what is the problem? is that SEPM not updated?

    can you post the error?

    if it shows error 4, then follow this link

     

    "Error: LiveUpdate encountered one or more errors. Return code = 4" in LiveUpdate status in Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager

    Hello,

    What version of SEPM are you running? Please provide us the entire version #.

    Secondly, What makes you feel that the SEPM is facing the Liveupdate Issue? 

    Is the SEPM not updated with the Latest Definitions? 

    What date under Windows Latest Manager Version: " do you see on the Home Screen of SEPM?

    Incase, you are running the SEP 12.1, check the dates on Symantec website:

    http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions.jsp

    If running SEP 11.x, check this :

    http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions.jsp?pid=sep11_32

    What do you see, under SEPM > Admin > Servers > Higlight Local Site and Click on "Show Liveupdate Downloads"?

    To Explain us the Situation, you could also use Screenshots.

    1. Uninstall the Liveupdate from add or remove programs
    2. Reinstall the Liveupdate from the SEPM installation folder 
    3.  Register SEPM with LiveUpdate:

     

           A. Click Start, then Run.
           B. Type cmd, then click OK. This will bring up a command prompt.
           C.  At the command prompt type cd and the path to lucatalog.exe:
                         cd C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin       (Enterprise Edition)
                         cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin       (Enterprise Edition 64-bit)
                         cd C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Protection Center\bin                 (Small Business Edition)
                         cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Protection Center\bin                 (Small Business Edition 64-bit)
    9.   Type lucatalog.exe -cleanup  When the command line path returns, cleanup is done.
    10. Type lucatalog.exe -forcedupdate
