    Hi,

I have 25 clients in a workgroup, all logged on this morning and the error box from symatec endpoint client popped up informing them that their anti virus & anti spyware definitions are out of date, they need to contact the systems admin, the local endpint clients have the yellow exclamatiuon mark

When  log into sepm, i can see all the clients under the company OU , all clients have a green dot indicating that they are connected to the sepm , if they are connected then why arent they pulling down updates , can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks

on the client machine open the interface
check if its showing dec 31 revison dates.

Security Content for Symantec Endpoint Protection clients and Symantec Endpoint Protection Managers are dated Dec 31 2009 even when using the latest definitions

You need to change it in your Antivirus Policy temporarily until they get this figured out.  It could be in either or both places below...just change "X" to 14 or more days for now and move it out a bit if this keeps going on...

    In Antivirus and AntiSpyware policy,

    Miscellaneous

    Change the following:

"Display a Windows Security Center message when definitions are outdated"
    Warn after "X" Days

    Notifications Tab
Display a warning when definitions are outdated
    Warn after "X" Days
