and server, but I try to implement SMSDOM, the SMSDOM virus definition while the server is offline, seems my practice is if symantec endpoint protection

definition is updated, SMSDOM will also update the virus definition after, but I try many times the SMSDOM cant update the virus definition, which problem

    occur in my case??

Also I have one question, if I want update virus definition in SMSDOM offiline, which folder should i store it in there????

SMSDOM and SEP will use same liveudpate agent, when different symantec products are installed they get registered inside Liveupdate. so if you run luall.exe , that will update all the symantec agent.

You can update SEP clients offline by downloading from  here

    http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions.jsp

    Check this document

Best practices for running Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition or Endpoint Protection and Symantec Mail Security for Domino on the same server

    • Symantec recommends that you install SAV or SEP to your server as an unmanaged client or as a managed client in a group. This method of installation does not overwrite your exclusions.
    • Do not choose "Internet Email Scanning" (the optional Lotus Notes Auto-Protect component) or any tools that have to do with email for SAV or SEP when you install SAV or SEP to your server.
These features monitor standard SMTP ports and can cause performance degradation or failure if you install it to your mail server. See the links in the Reference section of this page for more information.
    • If you are running SEP 12.1, you will need to install Java LiveUpdate (JLU) with Mail Security for Domino.  SEP 12.1 and Mail Security for Domino are unable to share antivirus definitions.
