  • 1.  Symantec Policies on Skype For Business & attachments

    Posted Mar 22, 2018 05:18 PM

    Hi Guys,

I am using DLP 14.6 MP2 and same on the clinets(14.6 MP2). I am not able to find a solution how to stop file sharing on Skype for external domains.

I have tried Allication monitoring, but it's not working, created policies but still having problems.

I have even tried to make a policy for cloud storage file movement monitoring via Application monitoring. But still not able to capture attachments.

Is Symnatec still support Skype for Business? have you tried to stop any kind of attachment on Skype?

Do I need to create a different policy? or do I need to change anything on Clinet monitoring side. I have attached the screen-shots for your reference.

Please answer... Your comments can Help me......

    Thanks,

    Sandeep

...in that case you might want to open a support case directly with Symantec to see if they can help you.

    Thanks!

I would also have a discussion with your Skype administrator.  That sounds like a control that could/should be done by the application.

    Hi Sandeep,

After you add Skype in Application Monitoring, You will have to restart Vontu services in Enforce Server. I had issue with other Tech but it resolve after this step.
