Protection Engine for Cloud Services

Hello all,

I'm a new symantec portfolio product sales and i need some help in order te well size a need of one of our costumers (it's my first symantec project :)).

The costumer needs is to replace Symantec Scan Engine v 5.2. he use the product in order to protect some business applications using ICAP.

Can you confirm to me please that the Protection Engine for Cloud Services is the best migration solution ?

The Protection Engine for Cloud Services can be interfaced with applications on the network costumer and on the cloud ?

Hi,

Yes, Symantec Protection Engine for Cloud Services, or SPE, is the best migration path from Symantec Scan Engine, or SSE.

SPE interfaces with applications on the customer network.

ICAP interface is compatible betwwn SSE and SPE, so no modification is needed for ICAP client applications.

You could just replace the SSE running server with the new SPE running server, in place.
