Hello,
I am facing issue with Symantec setup file which is exported from Symantec server itself, let me explain the whole scenario,
1. I am exporting the package from Symantec 14 server to install it on the end users systems.
2. To share the same with Local IT to get it install on the user's system, I am uploading the same to google drive
3. When the setup downloaded from google drive and when executed Symantec is quarantining the file with WS.Reputaion1.
4. But the same setup file when I transfer it from backend like from server drive to directly to users drive, it is getting properly executed with no issues.
5. The only issue is when the same file downloaded from Google drive.
As we have google as mail service so we will be using the drive to share the setup file if required to the Local IT.
Also, this issue is only occurring for Symantec 14 which we are going to move from Symantec 12 to 14, as currently, we are having Symantec 12 for which we are following the same procedure with no issues.
We also cannot upload the file for whitelisting as there will be a number of setup files will be exported as per the locations, please guide me any solutions or may be Symantec needs to look after this as this is the issue only for Symantec 14 not for Symantec 12.
Please Note:
Download Insight settings are already checked and also it is same as we are having on SEPM12.
Things Checked:
1. SEP12 client on end-user System, still SEP14 setup file downloaded from google drive is getting quarantined
2. SEP14 client on end-user System, still the same issue.
3. Also, we have different Servers for SEPM12 and SEPM14, from which SEPM12 is currently into production and SEPM 14 is in test and ready to move in production only for the same reason we are testing it by deploying it to end user system.
Thank you for reading the whole mail, I know it's too long but can't help as this is the first time I am getting this issue, please Help!!!
