  • 1.  Symantec System Center not loading

      I'm having trouble getting System Center to load all of a sudden.  When I start it nothing comes up and if I open mmc and add the snap in for System Center it locks up when I click on it.  We've been running Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition for some time and this is the first time this has happened.  Any suggestions?

    Check to make sure your server has not become bogged down with old Symantec LOG files.  You can do a search of   *.log  files. 
     
    You'll be amazed how many Reporting Agent log files you find.    I found over 600,000 on our server.  I deleted most of them, rebooted, ran CHKDSK /f /r at boottime, and then defragged the hard drive.
