  • 1.  Symantec Web Gateway planning and sizing

    Hello,

    Didn't find information on Symantec Web Gateway sizing in documentation. Could you please help with this?

    For example, how does Symantec recommend to build protection infrastructure for 20,000 users? For 100,000 users?

    As I know one SWG hardware appliance can handle up to 1,500 users and for virtual appliance this number is lower.

    The below article provides slightly different numbers:

    It suggests a single 8490 SWG should be able to handle closing-on 10k users.  I'd looking into mulitple SWGs with 3rd-party load-balancing for larger numbers.
