I need to encrypt the SMTP Traffic to one of our partners via TLS.  I'm currently using Symantec Mail Security for SMTP. The Certificate I'm using right now is 128bit encryption. Our partner wants to use 168bit encryption. Is this possible with Symantec Mail Security for SMTP? Is this possible with Brightmail? If yes how to i do this?

    Thanks for your help

    Hi,

First of all I'd suggest you use Symantec Brightmail Gateway (SBG) instead of SMS SMTP 5.
There's a difference between the key length of the certificate used to negotiate the TLS connection and the cipher used to encrypt the traffic. You are most probably referring to the cipher and in that case 168 bit key is one of the available options on SBG 8.
Have a look at the SBG documentation for more details on TLS:

I don't see any information in the linked document about TLS encryption.
