  • 1.  Touchdown HD on Galaxy S7 - tasks are not displayed anymore

    Posted Oct 17, 2016 04:08 PM

I am using Touchdown since 2-3 years as it is the only app that can handle categories and colors from Outlook. I recently switched to a Galaxy S7. It worked well for some weeks. Since 2 weeks now the tasks are nit displayed anymore in the task menu. If I access them through a custom start page they are displayed. I checked all settings, filters etc. I cannot find the problem. Can anyone help? Same happens for contacts. Not displayed in contacts menu but displayed in custom start page.Calendar items are displayed OK.

    Hi,

Can you try rerunning quick configuration? You may also want to note any custom settings (or back them up via Touchdown advanced>legacy>advanced settings>Backup settings, as reconfiguring them will set the Touchdown settings to default. PLEASE do not restore the settings until you’ve confirmed all’s well, in case it is something within the settings causing the issue.)

    1. Open TouchDown. The Main screen displayed.
    2. Tap the Menu button and tap Settings>Advanced>legacy. The Account tab is displayed.
    3. Run the Quick Configuration wizard. If you have activesync available on your server, or are connecting to a 2010 or above server, you will need to choose Activesync only as the connection protocol, as that is the only supported protocol. If your server is 2010 or above and does not support Activesync, you will need to contact your IT team to have them enable it so you will be able to connect.

Once completed you will get a "successful" or a "failure" message. If you get a failure message, long touch the error log to copy/paste the error log, then send that copied log to us. (Note- if you are on the new settings, quick configuration is found under Touchdown settings>Advanced>Legacy>Account.)

    Hi,

Did you start noticing this after an Android web view update?

    Hello Peter,

the problem started some 2 weeks ago. I am not aware of Android web view updates but I let all updates occur in the background. So it might be possible. As said, I switched to a S7 end of November, setup Touchdown and configured it. After that I did not reconfigure anything. And in the beginning all information was displayed OK. Then, suddenly not anymore.

Hi, I'm very interested if their is a solution regarding this issue available because I'm observing the same (except that it is limited to tasks).
