We have a hand full of Windows 2003 servers that we're trying to deploy SEP 11 to and are getting the message "SMCRES.dll could not be found"

This comes when pushing from the SEP server or copying the installer directly to the server.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I would suggest you talk to support about this. After a couple searches, I was not able to find anything relevant. Maybe others have insights, if not, support is probably your best option.

Symantec, Just to make you aware google never pulls up that article as there is a bug in it

    " \Symantec shared\ccL608.dll could be found"

    Rather the error is

    " \Symantec shared\ccL608.dll could not be found"

Thank you sandeep for pointing it out. There was a typo in the document that has been taken care of.

Error: " \Symantec shared\ccL608.dll could not be found " when installing Symantec Endpoint Protection client
