  • 1.  Trouble re-enrolling windows 10

I had my windows 10 device enrolled, but then I inadvertently unenrolled it.  Now it is not letting me enroll again.  I have tried with the package installed, which is what I used the first time, but it just fails.  I have tried the "Enroll theis device" option from the site, but it keeps failing because my device is already managed.  I wish I could delete the record from SEP but there doesn't seem to be a way.  I am an admin in the console as well.  Nothing seems to work to get my laptop connected again.  Thoughts?

run clean wipe then try it again. I had this happen to me a few times and it seems to work.

This document describes how to remove the management profile from your Windows 10 device so you can re-enroll: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH251573.html

There are a number of changes made to the enrollment protocol. Starting in Windows 10, version 1607

The enrollment process includes the following steps:

    1. Discovery of the enrollment endpoint. This step provides the enrollment endpoint configuration settings.

    2. Certificate installation. This step handles user authentication, certificate generation, and certificate installation.

    3. DM Client provisioning. This step configures the Device Management (DM) client to connect to a Mobile Device.
