  • 1.  Turning off policy inheritance

    Greetings,

Probably an easy one for easy points!

When deselcting the "Inherit Policies and settings from parent group <group>", it chagnes all the existing polices to [shared]. Does this mean that it left the existing policies in place and if i wnated to replace them individually, I can by choosing tasks and replace policy? I remember seeing at some point the message pop up that said a group must have a policy so im assuming that SEPM copied the policies when i chose to not inherit.

    thanks!

Yep you can do that and replace with a different policy or convert the current one to non-shared so you can make changes without others who have the same policy applied.
