END Log of SYMCScan installation on solaris

I did a search on google and it was told that i did not have the correct permissions to write to the root folder.

However i executed the .sh file using root.
I also tried troubleshooting by granting folder permission 755 to the folders in the log but to no avail.
hope you guys can help me solve this issue.
    Thanks in advance!

When I installed it on RHEL, I had to give 777 permissions.  The scripts need permission to execute.  You may be facing a similar issue

    Hi Alex_CST,

How do i grant the scripts the permissions?

As i am installing it as a root user, so i should have full access to install them.
correct me if i`m wrong, as i am using a unix platform for the first time.

If i`m wrong , how do i grant the scripts the proper permissions?
    chmod 777 [file-path] ?

Do i grant it on a folder level or to just that individual file?

I did it in a test environment so I didn't have best practice in-mind, so it was quite broad I did.  Unfortunately I don't think there's any documentation on what permissions are needed where for Unix.

When I tested installing SPE 7.0 on a non-global zone with root account, I had to use following command line to avoid some errors: # HOME=/tmp sh SymantecProtectionEngine.sh Hope this helps, Haro
