  • 1.  Unable to login to Symantec Scan Engine Admin Console

    I have a scan engine 5.2 running on SLES 11. However, I am not able to login to the admin conole. It says password invalid or scan engine server not runnning. I have verified the password and there is no issue with it.

    A manual restart gives the following

    .2.5.43, Decomposer Version = 3.16.9.7, Scan Engine IP address = 192.168.126.103, Scan Engine Port number = 14008, Uptime (in seconds) = 16554
    Sat Jan 29 14:28:43 IST 2011, The Scan Engine has been manually shut down, Event Severity Level = Information, Scan Engine IP address = 192.168.126.103, Scan Engine Port number = 14008, Uptime (in seconds) = 68677
    Sat Jan 29 14:29:45 IST 2011, The Scan Engine has just started up, Event Severity Level = Information, Scan Engine IP address = 192.168.126.103, Scan Engine Port number = 14008, Uptime (in seconds) = 7
    Sat Jan 29 14:29:45 IST 2011, The Scan Engine component version information is provided, Event Severity Level = Information, Product Version = 5.2.5.43, Decomposer Version = 3.16.9.7, Scan Engine IP address = 192.168.126.103, Scan Engine Port number = 14008, Uptime (in seconds) = 7

    Still not able to logon. On the gui it says Invalid Password or Scan Engine server not running

    please help resolve the issue

    Error: "Incorrect password or service is not running" shows when Scan Engine 5.x and SEPM console are installed on the same machine
