I have a client whose laptops are configured to use either the Juniper Odyssey client or the Cisco Wireless client to access their network.
We have been unable to get the Juniper Odyssey or Cisco Wireless clients to work with the SNAC/SEP configuration.
The in-built Microsoft wireless client works but does not meet the rigid security requirements.
Any ideas / solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Problem :
Hosts are unable to pass NAC Host Integrity check when accessing the network over wireless.
No such issues with Wired LAN access or VPN.
Problem seen on both Windows XP and Vista platforms.
Symantec NAC solution will only work with the Microsoft wireless client built into XP or Vista.
NAC Environment:
Symantec LAN & Gateway Enforcer version: 11.0.4000
Symantec End point client version: SEP11 MR4 MP1a (11.0.4026)
Operating systems: Windows XP, Windows Vista
Mixture of Cisco and other vendor switches/APs at the network layer
Wireless clients:
Juniper Odyssey wireless client version v4.7, v4.8, v5.0 and v5.1 (for both XP and Vista)
Cisco Wireless client version CCS4.2 for XP, CCS5.1 for Vista
