  • 1.  Unable to uninstall Cloud Agent

    Hello,

    I am in a serious challenge to remove an agent from a Windows 10 machine.

    I have tried to remove through Cloud Manager, then directly from this machine, and even through a tool from Symantec CleanWipe, and still nothing. In each method all seemed to be done well. 

    Made several reboots after each trial and several attempts with each method mention above but without sucess.

    From Cloud Manager, there entrie for this machine doesnt exist any more.

    Dont know if this was caused because the password to avoid unauthorized uninstalls that I have set.

    I have also tried to reinstall it, but it said that was successfully installed but there was no changes

    There is another tool for the job without having to use 3º party software to remove it?

    Thanks for the answer Brian.

    I tried CEDAR but without success, so I tried Norton Removal Tool that I didnt have saw in TECH213385, but still the Agent was active so I tried again CEDAR and it partial removed, there was still the registry at "Add or remove programs".

    Then I tried to reinstall the agent and I was able to do that.

    It was a hell of an uninstall lol.

    You are right. It's because of the password that you have set up to restrict unauthorized SEP Cloud client removal.
